Volunteer

The NMFSH welcomes volunteers interested in helping us develop partnerships in communities across the country. From education to interpretation to grounds development to fundraising, there are many ways you can support the NMFSH as a volunteer. Contact us for more information.

NMFSH Volunteers in the Field

Help for Haiti NMFSH volunteer Bjorn Dahl and a group of fellow Forest Service retirees are applying their wildfire incident response training to help build shelters in Haiti. As Bjorn says, "It's a natural extension of our work in the Forest Service." Support for this program is through the Salvation Army

 

NMFSH at the Forest Products Society Convention. We invite you to visit with Tom Hamilton, NMFSH volunteer and retired Director, Forest Products Laboratory, who will attend the convention in Madison, WI on June 20-22. Tom will have materials and information on the development of the new Center in Missoula.

NMFSH at the Inland Empire SAF Annual Meeting - Fires of 1910: A Century Later Volunteer Dave Wright will represent the NMFSH at the Inland Empire Society of American Foresters (IESAF)  2010 annual meeting "Fires of 1910: A Century Later" May 20-22 in Wallace, Idaho. He will be available to answer attendees questions about the new Center in Missoula.
